I am a manager and entrepreneur, but I have also been involved in my community as a resident since 1982. I sit on a number of boards in Domaine Saint-Sulpice as well. I currently work as a building manager in my neighbourhood. I was first elected to the board of Caisse Desjardins Domaine Saint-Sulpice in April 1982, then assigned to the marketing committee at Fédération de Montréal et l’Ouest du Québec in 1984 and Conseil régional des caisses Desjardins de l’Ouest de Montréal until December 2017.
I am a lawyer and member of the Quebec Bar and have served as a Desjardins Group officer since 1994. I started on my caisse’s board of supervision and then joined the board of directors in 2013. I am also a representative of the caisse within the Conseil régional des caisses Desjardins de l’Ouest de Montréal since 2016.
As a teacher and director of personnel for various school boards for 15 years, I served as a municipal councillor in Ahuntsic from 1974 to 1985 before chairing the executive committee of the Montreal Urban Community from 1985 to 1994. I retired after serving as an administrative judge for Commission municipale du Québec for ten years. I have been a member of caisse boards since 1995 and I have participated in four mergers.
I have been a member of my caisse board since 1996 and have been involved in my community in various forms over the years, including parent committees, scouts, Centre de loisirs communautaires Lajeunesse, CSSS du Cœur-de-l’Île, Vers Vous and so on. My volunteering is a strength for my colleagues. I make sure the interests of all members—from the smallest to the biggest saver—are taken into account in my caisse’s priorities.
I recently retired from the business world, where I gained a range of experience as a member of senior management for a big retail store and in real estate. I co-owned two small businesses, worked as a communications consultant and sat on the boards of local organizations. I have been involved in Desjardins as an officer of Ahuntsic caisses since 1984. The cooperative movement continues to inspire the sustainable economic development of our community.
As a former manager for the federal government, I have worked within Desjardins Group since 1995 as an officer and committee member. Since I share cooperative values aimed at protecting the socioeconomic well-being of members and society, I am involved in my community. For example, I volunteer for Vers Vous, a centre serving Villeray seniors. I am committed to listening to members and effectively contributing to the board’s deliberations and decision making.
I work as a pension plan consultant at a human resources services and technology company since 2006 and hold a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from Université Laval. I am also a fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and the Society of Actuaries. My involvement with Desjardins began with an officer internship on the Caisse Desjardins Cité-du-Nord de Montréal board. I then became a director in 2013.
Since 2002, I have worked as a lawyer at a boutique firm and been a member of the Quebec Bar, primarily practising commercial, construction and real estate law. Having collaborated with numerous associations, I believe in the performance of mergers, and I am particularly interested in member representation within such organizations. I have been an officer for the caisse since June 2015.
A resident of Domaine Saint-Sulpice, whose founding was based on the cooperative spirit, I have participated in Desjardins as an officer since 1983. I held an accounting designation for 35 years and have a MBA. My expertise and work experience help me fully represent the members of our caisse with my colleagues. I am also involved with the board of directors of the non-profit Les Retrouvailles (Résidence), which specializes in affordable housing.
As a heating and air conditioning specialist since 2007 and a former Villeray business owner from 1991 to 2007, I became involved with the board of Caisse Desjardins Saint-Vincent-Ferrier in 1995 when I was 25 years old. I went on to sit on the board of supervision and was also active on committees at Caisse Desjardins Cité-du-Nord de Montréal, such as the executive committee and the Fonds d’aide au développement du milieu.
With my master’s degree in organizational change and membership in Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés, I work as a human resources manager, which means people are the focus of my daily concerns. I am a neighbourhood resident, and the Desjardins values of cooperation and community solidarity have always been important to me. I have been a board member since 2015, first as an intern officer and then as an elected officer.
I am a proud holder of a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a specialization in finance. I began my career as an accounting analyst and then moved to Transcontinental, where I worked as a treasury analyst and obtained my certified management accountant designation. Today I am a risk management advisor for YMCAs of Québec.
I am a lawyer and involved with the legal structure of an investment fund operating in the caisse’s area. I started volunteering with Desjardins while sitting on the board of Coopérative des étudiants de la Faculté de droit de l’Université de Montréal. Also, I designed a management software for medical clinics that is still used today.
I am a college philosophy teacher and political philosophy lecturer at Université de Montréal, and I have been involved with Desjardins for some years. For me, this is an important bridge between my work at the University and my community. This work is important not only as a link between research and practice, but also as an opportunity to help create a more just, democratic, equitable society. I am a doctoral student in political philosophy at Université de Montréal and hold a master’s in philosophy (UQAM) and a master’s in public administration (ENAP).
I graduated from Université de Montréal and Université de Sherbrooke and hold a bachelor’s degree in criminology, another in law and a diploma in notarial law. I have worked as a notary since 1991 and have served on the boards of Santa Cabrini Hospital and a private company. I believe my experience in business and as a notary public is a benefit to the caisse board in terms of the neighbourhood’s development.
Board of Supervision
Charles Ugo Boucher
I am a former full-service financial advisor who has co-owned an independent, multi-branch business in Villeray since 2009. These professional experiences led me to diligently adopt sound business management and to get involved in my community as a resident and local business owner, in particular by co-founding Association des commerçants et travailleurs autonomes de Villeray (ACTAV) and joining my caisse’s board.
I have been a lawyer and member of the Quebec Bar since 2007 and I practise family law privately. I was the first athlete sponsored by the caisse between 2000 and 2009 while I was race walking and representing Quebec and Canada at competitions. I sit on the board of directors of Collège Ahuntsic. I have been involved with my local caisse for a number of years and, since 2017, have served as chair of the board of supervision.
I studied public accounting at HEC Montréal and have worked as an auditor at a firm for four years. Since I like to use my talents for social innovation projects, I am currently working for a federal government agency focusing on digital health. My participation in the caisse’s intern officer program has allowed me to develop my leadership while getting involved in my community.
When I finished my studies at HEC Montréal, I started my real estate investment business. Caisse populaire Desjardins de Saint-Nicolas funded the first investment. In keeping with its mission, Desjardins was there throughout my journey to support my business development, and now I see the next generation emerging. Becoming an advisor is my way of saying thank you, Desjardins.

I am an accountant and have worked since 2006 as a manager in the finance department at Otéra Capital, a subsidiary of Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and one of the largest commercial real estate debt lenders in Canada.
