I am a manager and entrepreneur, but I have also been involved in my community as a resident since 1982. I sit on a number of boards in Domaine Saint-Sulpice as well. I currently work as a building manager in my neighbourhood. I was first elected to the board of Caisse Desjardins Domaine Saint-Sulpice in April 1982, then assigned to the marketing committee at Fédération de Montréal et l’Ouest du Québec in 1984 and Conseil régional des caisses Desjardins de l’Ouest de Montréal until December 2017.

I am also a representative of the caisse within the Conseil régional des caisses Desjardins de l’Ouest de Montréal since 2016.
Michel Hamelin

As a teacher and director of personnel for various school boards for 15 years, I served as a municipal councillor in Ahuntsic from 1974 to 1985 before chairing the executive committee of the Montreal Urban Community from 1985 to 1994. I retired after serving as an administrative judge for Commission municipale du Québec for ten years. I have been a member of caisse boards since 1995 and I have participated in four mergers.
Danielle Lia

I have been a member of my caisse board since 1996 and have been involved in my community in various forms over the years, including parent committees, scouts, Centre de loisirs communautaires Lajeunesse, CSSS du Cœur-de-l’Île, Vers Vous and so on. My volunteering is a strength for my colleagues. I make sure the interests of all members—from the smallest to the biggest saver—are taken into account in my caisse’s priorities.
Douglas Long
Director
I recently retired from the business world, where I gained a range of experience as a member of senior management for a big retail store and in real estate. I co-owned two small businesses, worked as a communications consultant and sat on the boards of local organizations. I have been involved in Desjardins as an officer of Ahuntsic caisses since 1984. The cooperative movement continues to inspire the sustainable economic development of our community.
Gilbert Roy
Director
As a former manager for the federal government, I have worked within Desjardins Group since 1995 as an officer and committee member. Since I share cooperative values aimed at protecting the socioeconomic well-being of members and society, I am involved in my community. For example, I volunteer for Vers Vous, a centre serving Villeray seniors. I am committed to listening to members and effectively contributing to the board’s deliberations and decision making.
Pierre-Luc Bérubé

I work as a pension plan consultant at a human resources services and technology company since 2006 and hold a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from Université Laval. I am also a fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and the Society of Actuaries. My involvement with Desjardins began with an officer internship on the Caisse Desjardins Cité-du-Nord de Montréal board. I then became a director in 2013.
Mélissa Dionne

Since 2002, I have worked as a lawyer at a boutique firm and been a member of the Quebec Bar, primarily practising commercial, construction and real estate law. I have been an officer for the caisse since June 2015.
André Ethier

A resident of Domaine Saint-Sulpice, whose founding was based on the cooperative spirit, I have participated in Desjardins as an officer since 1983. I held an accounting designation for 35 years and have a MBA. My expertise and work experience help me fully represent the members of our caisse with my colleagues. I am also involved with the board of directors of the non-profit Les Retrouvailles (Résidence), which specializes in affordable housing.
Patrick Fortin

Also, I designed a management software for medical clinics that is still used today.
Gabriel Monette

I am a college philosophy teacher and political philosophy lecturer at Université de Montréal, and I have been involved with Desjardins for some years. For me, this is an important bridge between my work at the University and my community. This work is important not only as a link between research and practice, but also as an opportunity to help create a more just, democratic, equitable society. I am a doctoral student in political philosophy at Université de Montréal and hold a master’s in philosophy (UQAM) and a master’s in public administration (ENAP).

In keeping with its mission, Desjardins was there throughout my journey to support my business development, and now I see the next generation emerging. Becoming an advisor is my way of saying thank you, Desjardins.
